Victim identified in Marrero murder | NOLA.com

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has identified the man found shot to death Thursday night in a vacant lot in Marrero as Peter Carter, 34, of Algiers. Carter's body was discovered about 11 p.m. in the 1900 block of Gladstone Drive after deputies were dispatched on a call of shots fired, said Glen T. Boyd, spokesman for the department.

Carter had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have released no information on a possible motive or suspect in the case.
