Read on to uncover some great tips on how to make cooking a less strenuous and more pleasurable encounter for you just before your next dinner!

When making your own whipped lotion, retailer the blending bowl and beaters you intend to use in the refrigerator for half an hour approximately ahead of whipping the hefty lotion. Your whipped ointment could have stiffer peaks along with a far better general consistency than beginning with warm or room temperatures utensils.

You can save some time and power by cooking food greater batches of the dish at the same time, then keeping some of it inside the freezer for later. Divide the dinner into numerous serving-dimension storage containers and put them. On a nighttime whenever you don?t have enough time to cook from damage, just pull a container out and defrost it.

If you are looking to reduce the salt written content in the dishes you cook dinner, take a cautious take a look at spice rack. Numerous well prepared spices are surprisingly loaded with salt, regardless of whether they have a salty style. And naturally, prevent adding typical salt. Look to organic herbs and simpler spices to add taste without the need of salt.

To provide a little interest for your pies, consider using a twist around the standard graham cracker crust. Alternative shortbread cookies for graham crackers to get a more decadent and complex taste. Just make when you would a graham cracker crust. Put the shortbread cookies in the meals processor chip with butter and make use of together with your beloved pie recipes.

If you intend to allow your chicken sit within the oven for some time after it is actually baked, then subtract a couple of minutes from its baking time. Considering that chicken continues to bake even after it really is taken from a heat reference, it may dry out quickly in an oven that is nevertheless warm.

If you utilize baking blend to create biscuits, swap the milk with a 50 % cup of sour lotion plus an one half cup of lemon lime soft drinks to every single 2 cups of baking combine. The biscuits can have a somewhat sweet taste and an extra-unique texture, and they also make outstanding cars for your morning meal sandwiches.

Cute Stray Cat Doesn't Want To Leave My House. How To Care For ...

Q&A: Cute Stray Cat Doesn?t Want To Leave My House. How To Care For Cats?
This past week a cute little kitty came over to my house, I gave it food and now it doesn?t want to leave.
It?s not a tiny kitten, but it?s pretty small.
I suppose it?s stray.
It has fleas, and I just don?t know what to do to care for it.
Can cat owners give me tips?
Thanks!

The following is the answer: (Hint: The answer is not necessarily.)

Answer by animals4ever
If you see a new cat outdoors, you may think he?s lost. But with many feral cats living as wildlife, and many pet cats allowed outside (without collars), proceed cautiously. Rescuing may not be necessary or even the best decision. Unless the cat is in danger, observe him for a few days to ensure he really needs help. First you want to determine if this is a pet that goes out, a feral cat, or a lost cat:

Outdoor Pet Cat Characteristics. Friendly, well-groomed cats are probably pets that go outdoors. They?re comfortable with people and may try to come inside. Females and neutered males are usually neighborhood cats ? they seldom roam ? but intact male cats do ? so they may live far away.

Feral and Lost Cat Characteristics. It?s hard to tell a feral cat from a lost cat because pets revert to feral behaviors when they?re lost and scared. Both come out at night and hide during the day. When approached, they can both show signs of aggression (hiss, growl, bared teeth, arched back) and will run if you make eye contact. The differences are subtle.

A feral cat may be better groomed, than a recently-lost pet who hasn?t adjusted to living outdoors. If you start feeding them, eventually both will trust you ? but the pet will begin acting like a companion while the feral cat will stay skittish ? especially around others.

Companion Cat Tips
Locating A Lost Companion Cat?s Guardian

If the cat looks lost, try to find his guardian ? that?s what you would want if you lost your pet. Don?t assume the cat is lost because the guardian was ?uncaring or abandoned him? ? anyone can lose their cat. If the cat?s hungry or dirty, that probably happened after he got lost ? street life takes a quick toll on house cats. Here how to find the guardian:

To make sure that the apparently-lost cat isn?t really an outdoor pet, put a collar on with a note ? if someone is caring for him, they?ll call.
Alert neighbors. A lost indoor-only cat is very frightened and will hide even from the guardian. Also alert neighborhood children ? they know the local pets.
Have the cat scanned for a microchip ID tag.
Notify shelters. If you can, foster the cat rather than turning it in. Shelters hold strays for only a few days and may euthanize them after that. If you foster, make sure your pets and children are kept away until the cat is seen by a vet.
Put photo posters in pet stores and vet clinics ? and use the poster to also solicit a new guardian if the original one isn?t found.
Check classifieds for lost pets. Run an ad including a brief description and location but holding back an identifying detail for safety.
If your attempts to find the cat?s home fail, continue caring for the cat as an outdoor pet until a new home is found ? or if not possible, try a shelter.
Feral Cat Tips
Feral Cat Options

If the cat is feral, there may already be a caregiver providing food, water and dry shelter ? and there are probably other cats living there that you don?t see because they are more timid. If there isn?t a caregiver, unless you?re prepared to become one, leave the cat(s) alone ? that?s their home and they?ve adapted to it ? it?s probably better than any alternatives. Feral cats are not adoptable so removing them usually results in euthanasia. Most major animal groups today recommend feral cat management (TNR) over removing cats ? and TNR is also the most effective and most humane way to reduce their numbers. Here?s how it works:

Managing A Feral Cat Colony

First, secure property owner permission ? feeding the cats raises their visibility ? which, without permission, may not be in their best interest. Begin feeding meals ? leaving food and water out for about a half-hour and then taking away the excess. Pick a convenient time ? in the daylight. It?s important to be dependable and consistent. If you?re unavailable, have someone sub for you. Feeding is a management tool ? over time you?ll meet the entire colony and can monitor them for newcomers.

In the winter months you?ll also want to make sure they have adequate shelter ? under a porch, a dog house filled with straw, an accessible shed or outbuilding. Cold is not a major problem. Cats grow heavy winter coats just like other wildlife, but have no house-building skills and can die from hypothermia if they get wet and cannot dry off.

You need to take it too the vets. The vet can tell you the best flee medicine for it,and can give it its shots and test it for underlying conditions,as strays tend to have worms.

Answer by Rayden Epic
you can buy special flea shampoo for cats and if it is a stray put an ad in the newspaper or put flyers around your neighborhood saying found cat and have a picture of her and your phone

Answer by Tobey
You made the mistake of feeding it thats why it stays around. If you are going to keep the cat, i suggest you bring it indoors. Give it a good shampoo which you can get from the pet isle of walmart or scotts. The shampoo will kill fleas, ticks, and lice. But also get a good flea comb.

Answer by Tayson Thompson
If you?re going to keep it as an inside cat your going to need to get a litter box and obviously the basic food and water implements. Since it is a stray I?m guessing it is a somewhat hardier breed and won?t need very much grooming at all.If you plan to keep it outside he may not need a litter box. My cats have never needed a litter box because they have enough space in the yard to bury it.Keep in mind the life expectancy of an out door cat is about 2-3 years rather than 8-10.

What do you think? Answer below!

Q&A: How should I take care of my new house cat???.?
Do they need wormed every month, should I worry about disease if he kills mice, how often should he go to the vet,he?s already had his yearly shots and wormer but I wasn?t sure if the wormer was once a year or if he needs other preventions too. Is it normal that his nose has black dirt or build up in it?

Answer by Magic Pixie Princess
Call and ask the vet. You should have done research before you got your cat.

Answer by Amber
Cats are very independent. Make sure that you clean his litter box daily and replace old litter with new litter at least once a week. It is important to have your cat vaccinated once a year and examined by the vet. Also make sure you get the Feline Leukemia and the FIV vaccines when you go. Sometimes they are optional but both of those diseases are deadly to cats. Usually older cats don?t have to be wormed. Make sure you notice the poop in the litterbox each day to make sure there are no long worms like noodles (roundworms) or short rice like worms(tapeworms). IF you see this during anytime of year call your vet for some medicine. Also keep Frontline on your new kitty to prevent fleas and ticks?Fleas cause tapeworms. But DO NOT use Hartz brand or any off brand from Walmart on your cat?.I have seen cats seizure and even die from these products!!

Answer by cooks delight
call your vet and he/she will set appointments for you and tell you what your cats needs will be love your cat and good luck
thank you

Using some boxes laying around, and some duct tape, I created a "cat city" for Oranjello. He didn?t really care for it that much. He likes his cat tree, but doesn?t care to climb up top unless you throw a toy into his cat house. This was ultimately dismantled (and the boxes trashed) for our post-construction party #1. It turns out that if you throw some purple pool table cloth over the cat tree, that he wil lurk under it all the time. icon smile Cute Stray Cat Doesnt Want To Leave My House. How To Care For Cats?

UN: Illegal drugs sold via social media

(AP) ? Illegal Internet pharmacies are selling illicit drugs and prescription medicines online and are increasingly targeting young people, a U.N. drug agency warned Tuesday.

The International Narcotics Control Board also described North America as continuing to be "the world's largest illicit drug market" in 2010; parts of Europe as the homes of industrial scale cannabis factories; and growing poppy cultivation in West Asia.

Focusing on Internet pharmacies as a growing threat, a summary of the agency's 2011 report cited the agency's head, Hamid Ghodse, as saying such use of social media "can put large, and especially young, audiences at risk of dangerous products."

The Vienna-based board urged governments to close down illegal Internet pharmacies. It also called on them to seize substances that have been illicitly ordered on the Internet and smuggled through the mail.

The organization noted "high levels of illicit drug production manufacture, trade and consumption," with "vast amounts produced in all three countries" in North America ? the United States, Canada and Mexico.

About 90 percent of the cocaine reaching the United States is transited through Mexico, even as an increasingly harsh crackdown by Mexican authorities is forcing some drug cartels to move their operations to Central America, the agency said.

It identified Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua as achieving the status of "major transit countries for smuggling drugs primarily destined for the United States" in 2010.

Cannabis was a major problem in Western and Central Europe, with plants "increasingly cultivated on an industrial scale, mainly indoors, and with the involvement of organized criminal groups," the agency said.

"Europe accounts for the largest proportion of the global opiate market, and the abuse of heroin is the biggest drug problem in Europe in terms of morbidity and mortality," according to the summary.

The agency noted "significant increases in opium production" in West Asia last year and warned that higher prices for crop growers in Afghanistan and planned cutbacks in international troops in the country "could lead to even further increases in production beyond 2011."

It identified parts of Africa as representing a growing problem, both in terms of drug transit routes and of opiate consumption.

Cocaine trafficking from South America through Africa and into Europe "has emerged as a major threat in recent years," the agency said, with criminals increasingly shipping the drugs in containers and commercial aircraft.

"Heroin enters the continent through East Africa and is smuggled, either directly or via West Africa, into Europe and other regions," said the summary noting that authorities made "record seizures" of heroin in Kenya and Tanzania last year.

What Pharma Can Learn From the Railroads and IBM

Train wreckPharmaceutical companies are in trouble with ongoing patent cliffs with a clear choice facing them. They can follow the path of the railroad industry which is the path most are on right now. Alternatively, they can follow the path IBM took when its future was similarly bleak. IBM demonstrated how it's possible for a large company to shift from a product-centric culture to a customer and service centered company. It's clear that pharma companies will succeed or fail based not on how many drugs they sell, but on how well their offerings improve health outcomes.

Tips For Keeping Your Kids' Teeth Healthy | New Health and Fitness

New Health And Fitness.Org - Health Information You Can Use

The health of your children is directly related to the state of their teeth and how healthy they actually are. Your children?s teeth should be important to you and them, which is why you need to monitor what the everyday. You may have to be persistent in impressing upon them how important their teeth are. If you are a parent, you will enjoy this article which will show you how to get your kids to take care of their teeth every single day.

Whether you are an adult, or a child, it is important that you visit the dentist on a regular basis. Even if your kids do not have dental problems, you should visit the dentist with them twice a year. This way, if you have any problems, they can be addressed immediately. During her checkup, you should have your teeth cleaned to make sure everything is okay. Do you have young children? If you do, a pediatric dentist is probably your best solution. While your own dentist may be good with kids, a pediatric dentist is often the best choice. Pediatric dentists will be able to spot problems much more quickly because they are trained to work with small children.

Just because your children have baby teeth which will eventually fall out, this does not mean you should ignore them. Baby teeth are notorious for rotting and causing infections within the mouth which can spread to nerves and cause considerable damage. As you probably guessed, toothaches will manifest. Early loss of baby teeth can actually cause permanent teeth to grow in at strange angles. A child?s mental health is sometimes correlated with ?milk teeth? or baby teeth. Learning how to speak, and also chewing food, is part of this topic. Never neglect your child?s baby teeth for these reasons.

Tests prove that children currently are at higher risk of being over a healthy weight than ever. Some of these studies also show that overweight children are also inclined to have more trouble with tooth decay. When you consider that overweight kids are overeaters; you can just about figure that harm will ultimately come to their teeth as a result. Being a parent makes this something you need to look out for. If your child has an unusually high number of cavities; this could be a sign that they are not eating the correct foods. When you are teaching your children good dental and life habits; be sure not to leave out the positive impact proper eating and exercise habits can have as well.

The guidelines we?ve covered in this article can help to teach your kids good habits when it comes to keeping their teeth healthy. Cavities are inevitable, a part of life that may occur regardless of what preventative measures you take. Cavities are less likely to appear if your children stay away from junk food like candy bars and gum. Yet parents can still do a lot to help educate their kids on the importance of dental health.

Angela from Mowbray Place is the owner of a child care centre found in Willoughby. She has two children of her own and is aware how tricky it can be to be a working mom. The benefit of owning a child care centre is that she can take care of her children as well as other kids at the same time.

News Clips: Opting for death with dignity

Feb 24, 2012

?

By Ken Murray

YEARS ago, Charlie, a highly respected orthopaedist and a mentor of mine, found a lump in his stomach. He had a surgeon explore the area, and the diagnosis was pancreatic cancer. This surgeon was one of the best in the country. He had even invented a new procedure for this exact cancer that could treble a patient's five-year-survival odds - from 5 per cent to 15 per cent - albeit with a poor quality of life.

Charlie was uninterested. He went home the next day, closed his practice, and never set foot in a hospital again. He focused on spending time with family and feeling as good as possible. Several months later, he died at home. He got no chemotherapy, radiation, or surgical treatment. Medicare didn't spend much on him.

It isn't a frequent topic of discussion, but doctors die, too. And they do not die like the rest of us. What is unusual about them is not how much treatment they get compared with most Americans, but how little. For all the time they spend fending off the deaths of others, they tend to be fairly serene when faced with death themselves. They know exactly what is going to happen, they know the choices, and they generally have access to any sort of medical care they could want. But they go gently.

Of course, doctors don't want to die; they want to live. But they know enough about modern medicine to know its limits. And they know enough about death to know what all people fear most: dying in pain, and dying alone. They have talked about this with their families. They want to be sure, when the time comes, that no heroic measures will happen - that they will never experience, during their last moments on earth, someone breaking their ribs in an attempt to resuscitate them with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (that's what happens if CPR is done right).

Almost all medical professionals have seen what we call 'futile care' being performed on people. That is when doctors bring the cutting edge of technology to bear on a grievously ill person near the end of life. The patient will get cut open, perforated with tubes, hooked up to machines, and assaulted with drugs. All of this occurs in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars a day. What it buys is misery we would not inflict on a terrorist. I cannot count the number of times fellow physicians have told me, in words that vary only slightly: 'Promise me, if you find me like this, that you'll kill me.' They mean it. Some medical personnel wear medallions stamped 'NO CODE' to tell physicians not to perform CPR on them. I have even seen it as a tattoo.

To administer medical care that makes people suffer is anguishing. Physicians are trained to gather information without revealing any of their own feelings, but in private, among fellow doctors, they'll vent. 'How can anyone do that to their family members?' they'll ask. I suspect it is one reason physicians have higher rates of alcohol abuse and depression than professionals in most other fields. I know it is one reason I stopped participating in hospital care for the last 10 years of my practice.

How has it come to this - that doctors administer so much care that they wouldn't want for themselves? The simple, or not-so-simple, answer is this: patients, doctors, and the system.

To see how patients play a role, imagine a scenario in which someone has lost consciousness and been admitted to an emergency room. As is so often the case, no one has made a plan for this situation, and shocked and scared family members find themselves caught up in a maze of choices. They are overwhelmed. When doctors ask if they want 'everything' done, they answer yes. Then the nightmare begins. Sometimes, a family really means 'do everything', but often they just mean 'do everything that's reasonable'. The problem is that they may not know what is reasonable, nor, in their confusion and sorrow, will they ask about it or hear what a physician may be telling them. For their part, doctors told to do 'everything' will do it, whether it is reasonable or not.

The above scenario is a common one. Feeding into the problem are unrealistic expectations of what doctors can accomplish. Many people think of CPR as a reliable life-saver when, in fact, the results are usually poor. I have had hundreds of people brought to me in the emergency room after getting CPR. Exactly one, a healthy man who'd had no heart troubles (for those who want specifics, he had a 'tension pneumothorax'), walked out of the hospital. If a patient suffers from severe illness, old age, or a terminal disease, the odds of a good outcome from CPR are infinitesimal, while the odds of suffering are overwhelming. Poor knowledge and misguided expectations lead to a lot of bad decisions.

But of course it's not just patients making these things happen. Doctors play an enabling role, too. The trouble is that even doctors who hate to administer futile care must find a way to address the wishes of patients and families. Imagine, once again, the emergency room with those grieving, possibly hysterical, family members. They do not know the doctor. Establishing trust and confidence under such circumstances is a very delicate thing. People are prepared to think the doctor is acting out of base motives, trying to save time, or money, or effort, especially if the doctor is advising against further treatment.

Some doctors are stronger communicators than others, and some doctors are more adamant, but the pressures they all face are similar. When I faced circumstances involving end-of-life choices, I adopted the approach of laying out only the options that I thought were reasonable (as I would in any situation) as early in the process as possible. When patients or families brought up unreasonable choices, I would discuss the issue in layman's terms that portrayed the downsides clearly. If patients or families still insisted on treatments I considered pointless or harmful, I would offer to transfer their care to another doctor or hospital.

Should I have been more forceful at times? I know that some of those transfers still haunt me. One of the patients of whom I was most fond was an attorney from a famous political family. She had severe diabetes and terrible circulation, and, at one point, she developed a painful sore on her foot. Knowing the hazards of hospitals, I did everything I could to keep her from resorting to surgery. Still, she sought out outside experts with whom I had no relationship. Not knowing as much about her as I did, they decided to perform bypass surgery on her chronically clogged blood vessels in both legs. This did not restore her circulation, and the surgical wounds would not heal. Her feet became gangrenous, and she endured bilateral leg amputations. Two weeks later, in the famous medical centre in which all this had occurred, she died.

It is easy to find fault with both doctors and patients in such stories, but in many ways all the parties are simply victims of a larger system that encourages excessive treatment. In some unfortunate cases, doctors use the fee-for-service model to do everything they can, no matter how pointless, to make money. More commonly, though, doctors are fearful of litigation and do whatever they are asked, with little feedback, to avoid getting in trouble.

Even when the right preparations have been made, the system can still swallow people up. One of my patients was a man named Jack, a 78-year-old who had been ill for years and undergone about 15 major surgical procedures. He explained to me that he never, under any circumstances, wanted to be placed on life support machines again. One Saturday, however, Jack suffered a massive stroke and got admitted to the emergency room unconscious, without his wife. Doctors did everything possible to resuscitate him and put him on life support in the ICU. This was Jack's worst nightmare. When I arrived at the hospital and took over Jack's care, I spoke to his wife and to hospital staff, bringing in my office notes with his care preferences. Then I turned off the life support machines and sat with him. He died two hours later.

Even with all his wishes documented, Jack had not died as he had hoped. The system had intervened. One of the nurses, I later found out, even reported my unplugging of Jack to the authorities as a possible homicide. Nothing came of it, of course: Jack's wishes had been spelt out explicitly, and he'd left the paperwork to prove it. But the prospect of a police investigation is terrifying for any physician. I could far more easily have left Jack on life support against his stated wishes, prolonging his life, and his suffering, a few more weeks. I would even have made a little more money, and Medicare would have ended up with an additional US$500,000 (S$629,000) bill. It is no wonder many doctors err on the side of overtreatment.

But doctors still don't over-treat themselves. They see the consequences of this constantly. Almost anyone can find a way to die in peace at home, and pain can be managed better than ever. Hospice care, which focuses on providing terminally ill patients with comfort and dignity rather than on futile cures, provides most people with much better final days. Amazingly, studies have found that people placed in hospice care often live longer than people with the same disease who are seeking active cures. I was struck to hear on the radio recently that the famous reporter Tom Wicker had 'died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family'. Such stories are, thankfully, increasingly common.

Several years ago, my older cousin Torch (born at home by the light of a flashlight) had a seizure that turned out to be the result of lung cancer that had gone to his brain. I arranged for him to see various specialists, and we learnt that with aggressive treatment of his condition, including three to five hospital visits a week for chemotherapy, he would live perhaps four months. Ultimately, he decided against any treatment and simply took pills for brain swelling. He moved in with me.

We spent the next eight months doing a bunch of things that he enjoyed, having fun together like we hadn't had in decades. We went to Disneyland, his first time. We hung out at home. Torch was a sports nut, and he was very happy to watch sports and eat my cooking. He even gained a bit of weight, eating his favourite foods rather than hospital foods. He had no serious pain, and he remained high-spirited. One day, he didn't wake up. He spent the next three days in a coma-like sleep and then died. The cost of his medical care for those eight months, for the one drug he was taking, was about US$20.

Torch was no doctor, but he knew he wanted a life of quality, not just quantity. Don't most of us? If there is a state of the art of end-of-life care, it is this: death with dignity. As for me, my physician has my choices. They were easy to make, as they are for most physicians. There will be no heroics, and I will go gentle into that good night. Like my mentor Charlie. Like my cousin Torch. Like my fellow doctors.

Japanese Animation | NY Essay

Thirty-five years ago, Japan?s entertainment industry found an answer to its problems. Still developing in the aftermath of defeat in World War II, and the subsequent restructuring plan instituted by the United States, Japan was without surplus resources. There was no money for the production of films. American films soon began invading the Japanese entertainment industry. Yet the Japanese people longed for entertainment which would reflect their own culture. And so ?animation?developed in Japan to fill the void of high-budget film-making? (Marin, 69). In the years that followed, animation would take a pop-cultural foothold in Japan that has grown and transformed, and yet exists today. Even with the onset of increasing economic fortitude, animation continued to flourish within Japan?s entertainment industry. The creative possibilities of animation?s unparalleled visual story-telling capacities had been discovered by Japanese filmmakers, and would continue to be exploited into the present age.

Japanese animation, more commonly referred to as anime, or Japanimation, has somewhat different origins than western animation. Where animation developed to entertain European and American children through comedic exploits, anime was created to entertain wider audience groups. Indeed, one might find difficulty in characterizing all anime together; the Japanese have viewed animation as a medium of creation rather a form of entertainment limited in audience and expression. Anime is included in a group from which the United States has traditionally banned animation; specifically, anime is considered a form of creative expression, much as are literature, modern art, live-action films, and other arts. A man by the name of Osamu Tezuka first envisioned animation?s possibilities in Japan in the 1960s (Ledoux, 1). Tezuka realized the power animation could
lend to story-telling, and produced a myriad of animated films and television programs from which modern-day anime has?

General Knowledge on Multiple Sclerosis

Self-awareness on multiple sclerosis should be within our grasp and knowledge. This disease is one of the major contributor for disability. Let us dig in to the details and widen out our perspective on this devastating disease. Multiple sclerosis is a disease that targets or influences the brain and spinal cord.

The outcome would be the loss of balance, sensation, vision, and muscle control. This serious disease could impair you for the rest of your life. The nervous system is being destroyed by the body?s own immune system because it mistakes the normal tissues as foreign substance to the body. It?s like being cook on your own oil. With the nerves being attack, transmitting of impulses from the brain to other parts of the body would be ruined. This disrupts most function of the body. Multiple Sclerosis is hard to characterize because it is very unpredictable.

It would depend on what area of the brain is affected. The probability of getting two people with the same multiple sclerosis behavior is very slim because of its uniqueness for each individual.

The cause of this disease is still unknown but some research points it to genetics, environment or a possible viral infection. Enumerated below are the most common symptoms that a person may experience.

* Visual problems ? Blurry vision, double vision, partial blindness and uncoordinated eye movement.
* Sensory Nerves ? burning feeling, diminish sense of touch, numbness.
* Intestinal ? Constipation and irregular Bowel Movement
* Muscle coordination and other symptoms- Vertigo, difficulty maintaining balance, muscle pains, fatigue, tremor, awkward movements, unsteadiness and dizziness.
* Mental impairment and Mood sway ? loss of memory, poor judgment, depression and loss of ability to control emotion.

There is still no uniform treatment for multiple sclerosis.

This is because of its erratic behavior. Inducing the patient with corticosteroids help in suppressing the immune system but it?s not given for a long period because of the side effects. Without your immune system, you are very susceptible to other diseases. Other medications are also given to relieve some symptoms.

If the disease is not that severe, the patient can still maintain a dynamic lifestyle. They could still perform exercise such as swimming, running and walking. This could help them maintain their health. It?s better if they are engaged in activities to prevent weakness for their body. They need to do it by themselves to increase their self-esteem. This could also prevent depression and self-pity. Maintaining and keeping a healthy lifestyle could slow the progression of this disease. They should have regular intake of vitamins and supplements to support their health. It is also necessary to avoid high temperatures since heat could aggravate the condition. People who have suffered disability would need a therapist for their rehabilitation. Family and friends should be there to support them. People with multiple sclerosis should be handled with care and love. Without this strength booster, succumbing to severe depression could ruin their life. It is best to make them feel wanted and normal.

Life saving dive gear

The dive gear is nothing like an apparatus which is used by the divers for the purpose of breathing when they are under water. It helps the diving to be convenient, more safe and much more efficient. The diving suits of the modern day are so well equipped and are made into dry suits which can handle temperatures ranging from 0 and 10 degrees C and wet suits which can handle temperatures ranging from 21 to 25 degrees C. The different kinds of diving gear are diving gloves, hoods and boots. Things like safety scuba helmets are also available to help in diving.

These diving gears are so well structurally made ensuring maximum safety to its divers that it resembles the making of a machines like computers, cars etc. It involves a lot of complicated parts known as control device, compensators, propulsion vehicle, diving weigh systems, etc. Head masks, flash lights and torches are another set of devices which provide safety to the divers body and also ensures clear vision of sight for the divers do that they can move swiftly and with a great pace towards their desired destination.

At the same time torches and flash lights provide them with good amount of light in the areas of low visibility and dark environments like night diving or wreck or cave penetration.

The dive gear is also very much useful for the purpose of signalling and communication. A typically designed cutting tools what we call knife in our general language is known as scalpel blade which helps in digging and cutting of the nets and personal protection as well and other safety measures. Another equipment called as decompression trapeze is a tool used for assisting purposes and for maintaining accurate depth in water during decompression stoppage.

Two other very important tools of diving are things like lifting bags and short lines while the former is an item which is used for lifting object which are heavy under water, these bags are filled with air and the latter is used generally to identify both the points of ascend and descend. It also helps in controlling the rate of ascend and descend.

Notes:

So much food. While dinner was delicious entirely, it was not good eating all of this (well stomach and health-wise) ? such as the rice, and chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate covered strawberries wrapped in bacon (although this last one was perhaps the greatest creation of all time ever). I ate the food wanting to try everything, and I did, and I then kept eating. Not good :(. Still ate later in the night (no idea how I did this) even though my stomach did not feel very good at this point.

?

Thursday February 16

How I feel upon waking:Energy at 6.

Foods/Beverages:

I was chewing gum throughout the morning and it was disrupting my stomach the entire time. The gum contained soy lecithin and also a starch/flour. I have reason to believe that either one, or both, of these ingredients disagree with me incredibly. I know I cannot handle wheat. A ?serving? of grains and it is several hours of discomfort. It was interesting? and mildly depressing that 3 sticks of gum would disrupt me as much as it did though.

Late Lunch (2:00): Big Ass Salad in Balsamic Vinaigrette ? Spring Mix Lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, spinach leaves, mushrooms, grilled chicken, and cranraisins. 2 bowls of Hot Italian Meatballs (containing wheat?why am I not surprised?) Saturday February 18

How I feel upon waking:Energy at 8.

Foods/Beverages:

Had an Honest Ade Pomegranate Blue to drink in the morning. (no picture).

Lunch (2:00): Big Ass Salad in Olive Oil ? iceberg with some purple lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, feta cheese, and bacon bits (left). Small salad in Olive Oil ? iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and more bacon bits (right).

2-18 Lunch P1???????????????????????????????????? 2-18 Lunch P2

Dinner (6:00): Big Ass Salad in Olive Oil ? Iceberg lettuce, chicken, spinach leaves, mandarin slices, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, and bacon bits. Very tasty.

2-18 Dinner

Notes:

Feta cheese not the best idea, but I felt fine after an hour or so, so that was not too bad. Overall some good eating today but I could use more protein during my lunches. Dinner had a hearty serving of protein, but I could use some more variety if only the meat here did not almost always contain gluten or soy. Getting back into eating right after dealing with the stress and lack of thinking which plagued my decision-making and eating habits this week.

Workout:

Workout from 2-12-12 (Last Week?s)

Exercise W1 TUL1 R1 W2 TUL2 R2

Pull down 80 0:55 3 80 0:40 3
Rotary Shoulder 50 1:05 7 50 0:27 2

Workout from today ? I intentionally lowered most weights since I am trying to pick weights such that I reach failure in a single set within 7-10 repetitions and between 1:00-1:30 for TUL.

Exercise W1 TUL1 R1 W2 TUL2 R2
Leg Press 250 1:39 8 250 0:54 3

Rotary Shoulder 60 :55 5 50 0:25 2

Overall, I think this is a good starting point for next week. I am planning that if the TUL is over 1:15 (with reps at 7 or higher) or if the repetitions are above 10 then I will increase the weight by 5lbs. I?ll have to make adjustments since some machines only have 10lb increments, such as the Rotary Shoulder machine. The vertical exercises seem to be my major problem at this moment, but I think this workout was a solid gauge for next week?s workout.

Foods/Beverages:

Lunch (12:00): Big Ass Salad in Olive Oil ? green and purple lettuce, 4 hardboiled eggs, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, olives, and topped with bacon bits. Small salad in Olive Oil ? green and purple lettuce, 3 hardboiled eggs, carrots, olives, and bacon bits.

Small salad in Balsamic Vinaigrette ? iceberg lettuce, 2 hardboiled eggs, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and dried cranraisins.

2-19 Dinner P12-19 Dinner P2

2-19 Dinner P3

Late Night(8:15): VitaCoco Coconut Water with Tropical Fruit, Adirondack?s Vanilla Ice Cream, and Nut Harvest Lightly Roasted Almonds (containing sunflower and/or peanut oil).

2-19 Late Night

Notes:

The good news ? workout for the week went well! The bad news, I was eating a LOT of food and a lot of my choices were BAD IDEAS.

Unfortunately, I have not been eating as clean as I wanted, although I still typically get in about 16-hour fasts per day or more. I am often too lenient in what I eat and it bites me later ? the rice, the wheat and soy containing meat, the sugary beverages and desserts, the numerous occasions of bananas and apples. While my waistline has not increased (or not to a noticeable effect) since I began the experiment, it has not shrunk either ? which is part of the objective!

Instead of eating only until not hungry, I have been eating until full. I have been eating without paying attention to the food, which means I eat a lot more and don?t enjoy the food as much. My energy levels on days after I eat poorly are not that great, but more than that my overall enthusiasm is lower. I am essentially awake but not conscious or present. It?s weird and I don?t like it.

Part of this is due to food and part of this is due to some stress and things I am dealing with right now. The two are essentially cyclically intertwined at this point so I need to get one under control to start and that will help with the other.

Also, peculiar observation ? after the late night eating on Sunday my stomach ballooned up and was resistant to pressure. I?ve noticed this happen before to me and it dissipates after several hours, but I think it is a response to inflammation and is a signal I should probably not be consuming that crap.

So no more soy/wheat containing meats. No more Nature Harvest nuts (every product here contain peanuts or peanut oil). I also need to stop the unhealthy night decisions. If I am really hungry I should just make eggs in butter. I complicate my life too much and I don?t like the results, yet I continue the path towards destroying my body?I need to kick myself back into gear ? right now this isn?t the life I envisioned for myself. I envisioned so much greater.
